Our Story: Turning a Crisis into Innovation

The article recounts the journey of Gastón Islas and Mauricio Bonilla, our co-founders, who were inspired by the water scarcity in their hometown, Ciudad Obregón, Sonora. The 2010 water crisis due to the construction of the Independence Aqueduct was the catalyst for developing Nube, our revolutionary system that produces water from air.

Nube works by absorbing moisture from the air and using an advanced filtration system to convert it into ionized, alkaline water, ready for consumption. This solution not only addresses water scarcity but is also tailored to meet the specific needs of Mexican households, making access to clean water more affordable and sustainable.

Growth and Achievements

Founded in 2013 with an initial investment of 1.5 million pesos, Innovaqua has come a long way. Thanks to the support from the NEXOBanRegio entrepreneurship program in 2015, we have significantly expanded our market presence. Today, we boast a showroom in Monterrey and branches in Ciudad Obregón, Colima, Tuxtla, with new locations coming soon in Cancún and Playa del Carmen.

To date, we have sold over 300 Nube units, creating a positive impact in every community we operate in. Additionally, our industrial version of Nube can produce up to 5,000 liters of water daily, catering to both homes and businesses.

Commitment to the Community

Beyond our sales and expansion, we are dedicated to bringing Nube to underserved communities and public spaces. We are currently collaborating with the Monterrey government to install Nube in drinking fountains in the Macroplaza, ensuring more people have access to clean water.
